So, i'm craving ice cream all the time while pregnant. my husband says that it's all in my head and that i'm going to regret eating so much ice cream when i have to lose the weight later. what's a girl to do? i can't get enough of it!

first of all - tell your husband to mind his own business. it's hard enough to feel good about yourself and your growing body when you're pregnant - tell him you need him to just love you adn support you. the cravings are definitely real - but maybe you can try to substitute the ice cream for something else sweet and suger free?

i would definitely bite my husband's head off if he commented on my food while i was preg. I craved ketchup nonstop while pregnant - three times! cravings are real...go with them and enjoy this time!

i agree with the responses so far - and cravings are definitely real - but georgie - i do want you to be careful. you could get diabetes from eating too much sweets and have complications with the preg. try to substitute with yogurt or with sugar free candies - something besides the ice cream all the time. i know it's hard - but you need to be careful about your health too

and did you get pregnant by mental telepathy? men! having said that - you will definitely get some good out of the ice cream in terms of calcium for both you and the babe. like anything, too much of a good thing can last longer than we'd like.

You enjoy your pregnancy and take care of yourself. Ignore your husband's worries. Of course, everything in moderation is a good saying. Try, as people have said here, to substitute the ice cream for something else...it's really not fun to lose the weight after the baby comes...but trust yourself and your cravings - they aren't in your head!
