| i have a friend who had her son by sperm donor. she got to see a lot of profiles and pick the guy she wanted to father her son. they keep pretty strict records of the donors and i think sme of the guys even allow the child to know who they are. at least thats the case with my friend. ↑ |
| It's definitely confidential - no one will know that you used a donor and I think you can both decide if you want to know who he is. There is a lot of room to pick things about your donor - hair color, height, athletic ability, school, etc. It's a bit weird that way - but you can get the kid you've always wanted! ↑ |
| have you tried IVF or do you know that your husband's sperm won't even work with that? i think it would be pretty weird to raise a baby that was biologically yours - but not his. Have you given this a lot of thought? somehow adopting seems to put you two more on the same playing field...just my thoughts ↑ |
