Ablation to cure clotting?

I am in perimenopause. I have regular (23-27 days apart) periods that last about 3 days, 1 1/2 of which are so heavy with large clots I don't leave the house unless I absolutlely have to. Dr suggested Novasure. We have not tried anything else. I am unsure. Anyone have that procedure or have experience with it?
