Hi There,
I am 29 ( 1 week ago!) and have just been told that a Hysterectomy might be the only way to solve the problems I have, I have 2 children so I'm not concerned about that side of things, but I'm worried about the hormonal effect of a Hysterectomy. I have a prolapsed womb and bladder (no symptoms from the bladder side of things) and I also have a bowel problem that has been there since I had my first child 7 years ago, I have been trying to get someone to understand and listen to me for all that time and eventually paid to see a gynie privately, in 1 hour he listed all of my problems and also told me that they could be fixed with surgery, amazing isn't it!!?the down side is that the subject of hysterectomy reared it's ugly head, I'm going to be taking a course of injections that will stop my ovarys working and mimic the effects of a full hysterectomy, do any of you know anything about this? I know nothing about side effects etc and would really like to speak to someone who has experience with it. Thanks for reading!
