I'm on the other side of the menstrual bleeding, have been menopausal for a few years and for the most part it's great. Except - sex hurts so badly, expecially upon entrance. I want to scream. Ideas?

sounds like you need more lubricant. are you using anything? make sure you are good and ready before letting him in!

i agree with trying lubricant, but it sounds like it might be more than that. im menopausal too and i haven't had that experience at all. i'd see a doctor and find out if there is something else going on - some kind of infection maybe. Good luck!

I agree with sbernaba, sounds like something isn't right. vaginal dryness can cause pain and there is another type of pain associated with it, but you sound like you need to have it checked out

KY jelly works wonders. But u could ask your gyn for estrogen cream. That brings back your natchural moisture.

If it started with menopause, I don't think u have to worry. It's got to be that u just need KY jelly. That's what happens with menopause. It's normal.

Painful sex in the menopause is often due to a dry vagina due to lack of estrogen. The is a easily manged by intra vaginal estrogen. If the pain is just at the opening it could be dry and astroglide is ideal. If there is bleeding see a gyn Rarely vestibulitis could be a cause
