I am on the pill sprintec. I have been for about 6 months now. This month I got my period while I still had a week left of the active pills. I skipped placebo week and started my new pack. A week after my period I started bleeding again and have been for 3 days. I am about a week and half in to my active pills. I have some minor menstrual cramping but nothing major. Should I be scared? I'm not sure what to make of this.

it is normal to bleed when you skipped your placebo week. i've been using sprintec for 2 years now. my doctor advised me to skip the placebo pills for two months and take it back after so that i will have my period in every 3 months. if you are in doubt, talk to your doctor.

vaginal bleeding between periods is normal, one of the side effects when taking sprintec. your body is adjusting to the changes that are happening.
