I am 45 years old, had my first menstruation when I was 10 years old, and have been irregular all my life with periods in intervals of 23 to 47 days. When i missed my three periods 7 months ago, and negative on pregnancy test, i suspected perimenopause. The 4th and 5th month is quite regular menstruation that started as light, then continued and stopped as usual. When i started to have light bleeding on the 6th month, i expected it to go as it usually does - but it did not grow heavy but continued lightly, everyday, now for almost 7 weeks. Two days ago, i finally went to see my OB_GYN, had a transV ultrasound, and discovered to have subserous intramural myoma uteri about 6x6x5.6cm in size. I was told not to panic, 1out of 5 women developed myoma, and this is benign. To stop the bleeding, i was prescribed to take tranexamic acid 3xday for 3 days. This is the 3rd day, and I am about to take my 8th prescription tablet with NO indication that my bleeding will finally stop. I am still bleeding, quite lightly as the last 44days. What if it does NOT? Should I have a procedure or wait for menopause? This fibroids usually shrink after menopause.

I hope that you have gotten the answers you needed. I am new to this site and am looking for other women with fibroids. I am 30 yrs old and have a uterine fibroid the size of a grapefruit. My husband and I want children and a fertility dr says I need to have surgery to have it removed before I get pregnant. I have been trying to find a natural alternative and want to know if anyone else has heard of or tried Fibrovan. Anything will be helpful. thanks
