Okay people, I got my period a few days ago, used some tampons, and noticed that I was feeling some itching coming on, inside and at the entrance of my vagina. My period then stopped really suddenly (not totally normal for me) and the itching got worse :( I really didn't think it was a yeast infection (or maybe I'm just hoping, because I've already had two this year and I never had them before that) because there's no discharge! And I do mean none, I'm freaking dry as a bone, which I'm thinking might be causing further irritation, bur I'd still like to know why.
Now, since I'm totally paranoid and hypochondriacal (a word?) about my vagina, I did some investigation tonight and I swear I think there's some weird skin flaps around that lumpy thing below mt urethra. That might just be my paranoia, but I also think I saw something raised and raw, like a sore. And it itches so bad! Also, I feel like the tampons made it worse somehow. My period was also really light, so maybe I was jamming unnecessary tampons up there and irritated/scratched something? Anyway, I bought some anti-itch vagina cream tonight and so far it is NOT helping.

I know that was really annoying and long-winded, but I'm really uncomfortable. I have had HPV in the past, but I've had two normal paps since. I've also had a history of getting raped, contracting chlamydia, taking care of it, then the same jerk came and did it twice more. That's ancient history, but I don't know if having chlamydia 3 times a few years ago could affect my poor vagina now.
