I have some of my normal symptoms (such as more frequent urination, swelling of breasts and tenderness in right armpit) of my period starting and some of my normal symptoms are not appearing (such as slight tenderness of breasts). Some symptoms are still around (swelling of breasts and tenderness in right armpit) but my period is late. I also experience one instance of bleeding about a week and a half to two weeks after my last period (which has never happened before). My period tends to delay by about 2 days each month but it has been four days so far. I have not taken a pregnancy test. What could be the cause of the missed/late period and how soon can I take a pregnancy test. My cycle has been anywhere from 2-6 weeks in the past but has been a more regular 4-5 weeks since getting of of the pill 10 years ago.
