Hey...so I have been struggling with gynecological issues since August and am so fed up. Last August, I went to see my gyno because i was experiencing some vulval irritation after having gotten a brazilian wax. She said I had an infection and gave me a 7 day treatment. Well, I was stupid and stopped the treatment after like 5 days because my symptoms went away. A month or two later, I tried to have sex with my boyfriend...which was my first time...and it was very painful as I think part of my hymen was still intact. The next day, I was extremely irritated and had swelling around my vaginal opening. A couple weeks later, I went to my gyno and he said that he thought I was just irritated from sex and the possible breaking of my hymen. He tested me for infections and said I'd get a call if there was anything there. Well, apparently I did have bacterial vaginosis but the doctor's office never called and told me. So I got an insanely bad infection to the point where I went to the ER because I couldn't get in to see a doctor and didn't want to wait. Of course, they diagnosed me with BV and gave me Flagyl pills. I took the pills and they didn't help. So I went back to my doctor and he gave me Clindesse. Which didn't help. Finally, he perscribed me Metronidazole gel which seems to have cleared up my infection...however, I still have a sore spot on the bottom of my vaginal opening (where I experienced the most pain during sex and the most swelling afterwards). I'm completely tired of being sore down and not being able to have intercourse with my boyfriend because of this. Does anybody have any idea what could be causing the soreness, particularly in that one spot? I'd appreciate any advice or help as I can't get in to see my doctor until Dec 18.
