yeast infection while preggy

I have a yeast infection for weeks now and just also found out that I am 2 weeks pregnant. Is it safe to take OTC or creams to treat the infection while preggy?

if you have a yeast infection during pregnancy, you need to consult it to the practitioner to recommend you a specific suppository or OTC antifungal vaginal cream that is safe during your pregnancy.

oh, could that affect the growth and development of your baby inside the womb? i am just curious what might be the complications.

no, it will not hurt or affect the development of the baby.

you can safely treat your yeast infection during pregnancy with antifungal creams like miconazole, clotrimazole. these products doesn't give any risk of birth defects or any other pregnancy complications.
