Abnormal Bleeding	I'm a 25 year old married woman that has never had a normal menstrual cycle. I have always had heavy and long periods. My last five or six have lasted over a month. I have been diagnosed as having PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). I am NOT taking any prescribed medications, but I'm taking herbs in order to try to regulate my cycles. Birth control pills are not an option for me because my husband and I are trying to get pregnant. If you would like to e-mail me, please feel free to! Abnormal Bleeding	I am 41 years old and have never had children. I have two fibroid tumors on the outside of my uterus that are the size of a golf ball or smaller and abnormal bleeding.
Abnormal Bleeding	I was diagnosed with HPV in 1993. I had a total abdominal hysterectomy at age 22 for abnormal uterine bleeding/dysfunctional uterine bleeding, chronic pelvic pain and a family history of reproductive and breast cancers. I am married, the mother of two, a former Women's Health Advisory Board Member for OBGYN.net (volunteer). I've had training as a Patient Care Technician, Clinical Medical Assistant, and Nursing Assistant. My interests are: researching women’s health issues, volunteering my time at various women's health websites, continuing my education in the Nursing Field, and spending time with my family.

Abnormal Pap- Severe Dysplasia

Mild dysplasia turned into severe dysplasia within 3 months time. Have had a internal and external ultra-sound, conization, cold cone biopsy, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, D and C, and colposcopy. Next step is a hysterectomy, which I am not looking forward to.

Cancer of breast - genetic risk
I'm a 37 year old breast cancer survivor who carries the BRCA 2 mutation which put me at risk of hereditary breast and ovarian cancer. I had a mastectomy for breast cancer with an immediate free TRAM flap reconstruction. I had recurrence and chemo and radiation. Halfway through chemo I had genetic testing and found out that I carry the BRCA 2 mutation. I had a prophylactic mastectomy on my other side with a gluteal (buttock) flap reconstruction. I also had a prophylactic oophorectomy/hysterectomy to prevent ovarian cancer. I'm happy to talk with anyone about my experiences with breast cancer, genetic counseling/testing, free-flap reconstruction, prophylactic surgery and menopause without hormones at a young age.

Cancer of breast - adenoid cystic type
Would like to help others with the rare disease of adenoid cystic carcinoma of the breast (or other body sites).

Cancer of cervix insitu (adeno)
I am 28 years old and recently had an abnormal pap come back- I had a colposcopy and bx which showed moderate dysplasia. I had a LEEP procedure done. I had some post procedure complications of bleeding. I then got the pathology report back that showed adenocarcinoma in situ and severe squamous cell dysplasia. I was referred to a gyn/ oncologist. I have seen 2 gyn/oncologists at this point and would like to connect with other peolpe who have had similar problems. I was also trying to get pregnant before this all started and I am hoping that this can still happen in the future.

Cancer of cervix insitu (adeno and squamous)
I was diagnosed recently with cervical adenocarcinoma-in-situ and squamous cell carcinoma-in situ. Since that time I have had a LEEP and had my first pap come back normal, but my ECC scraping came back with dysplasia. Now am being referred to OB-GYN for another leep or possible hysterectomy, I would like to visit with anyone who is going through this.

Cancer of cervix insitu (adeno)
I am a 27 year old women who has just be diagnosed with adenocarcinoma insitu. I was so shocked because I have no symptoms and feel great. We have had 3 children. My husband and I are done having children so that wasn't an issue but with all of the research I have done this is 98-100% curable. But I am a strong believer in yearly pap smears they can save your life!!! I would like to talk to others who have gone through this because it helps us all so much to get through this emotional time in our lives.

Charting/getting pregnant
I am 28 yrs old, married with one child. I have had 5 pregnancies and am currently working on the 6th. Charting has become a wonderful tool in each of my attempts to conceive.

Chronic Functional Abdominal Pain
I am 41, diagnosed with Chronic Functional Abdominal Pain. Have spent a lot of money going to Drs. I also have Stress Incontinence. Finally, I went to a women Dr, She is helping me more than any one has. This pain is 24 hrs. a day. I have had 5 prior surgeries, (C-section's etc.) Would like to correspond with anyone going through this.

Chronic Pelvic Pain
I am a 35 year old stay at home mom with two children. I had two c-sections and a laparoscopy for adhesions. I have suffered more recently from irregular bleeding and left sided pelvic pain. I recently had a hydrosonar and they found a small 4mm polyp on the inside of my uterus. I need to have a hysteroscopy but my Dr also wants me to consider having another laparoscopy to see if I still have adhesions. I would like to talk to anyone who has suffered from adhesions to find out what you think about laparoscopy and the possible side effects of this procedure. Thanks

Hi I am 21 years old and married. In the past year or so I have been experiencing pain on my left side of my ovaries.And I am scared to go to the doctor. I have painful sex and I can't even put a tampon in any more. And I would like to start trying to get pregnant. Endometriosis runs in my family and cysts of the uterine walls.

Chronic Pelvic Pain

Chronic Pelvic Pain
I am 24 years-old with no children and have constant pain in my lower left abdomen and back. I have small cysts on both of my ovaries and was put on the pill to shrink the cysts. They are, at times, extremely painful.

I am a full time wife, and mother of 2. Part time student. For the past 3 yrs I have experienced progressively worsening pain in the pelvic area, mostly during menstruation. I have gone through 4 doctors, every test imaginable and a diagnostic laparoscopy and finally a hysterectomy.

I have pelvic pain on my left side. I have had this for a very long time. I have been to doctor after doctor and they all say the same thing. Its nothing. Well just about a month ago I had severe pain in my left side. I wanted to go back to the doctor but I felt that it was all in my head so I ignored it, until one night my husband and I engaged in love making and the pain I had during and after was unbearable. I layed in bed for about 4 hours before I could get up. I let that go too.. I then started with the pain again, extremely bad, so I called my doctor..mind you every time I go he says its nothing, no internal just feeling around on the outside. I asked for an appointment, they told me sorry not for a couple of weeks so I changed doctors. Finally I went to the doctor thinking it was all in my head but knowing the pain I'm in and he did a checkup and an internal (which hurt like hell) and sent me for a sonogram.He said that there was a definate something on my left ovary. So I went for the sono which confirmed not only do I have a cyst but its the size of my left ovary..Talk about pain.

Chronic Pain in Pregnancy
I am 32 years old and hoping to have children in the near future. I suffer from chronic back and leg pain and am working on finding solutions (medications and others) that will help me to have a healthy baby and manage the pain during pregnancy. I have quite a bit of knowledge on pain management and coping strategies but am searching for the best options for pregnancy and infant care. I would be happy to share what I've learned so far or just listen to others who may be in a similar (and very difficult) situation.

Ovarian Cancer
Am a 50-year old woman who was recently diagnosed with clear cell ovarian cancer. I have undergone 2 major surgeries to remove the malignancy. I finished 6 cycles of chemotherapy and about to start a 7-8 week radiation therapy. I would like to hear from someone who has had similar experience or have had radiation therapy, especially in the abdominal area.

Cancer of vulva
I am recovering from Vulval Cancer. I have had a Radcial Vulvectomy, Clitorectomy too, and a Bilateral Groin Node Dissection, OUCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, but recovery is very slow. I am getting there, not saying it has been an easy road, but I am winning now I think. I would be more than happy to chat with any lady going through similar problems, also along with the Vulval Cancer, Vaginal Cancer, Cervical Cancer, Anal Cancer, HPV too in fact any gyn cancers as I belong to a support group for these cancers and they have certainly kept me sane now for the last 12 months, Looking forward to chatting to someone real soon. With this diagnosis it is very lonely out there to deal with it all alone

Cancer of vulva
I'm 39 yrs old, mother of 3 girls, with HPV and vulvar cancer. I had a skinning vulvectomy with removal of the anus, and skin donor site taken from my thigh. I'd be glad to help anyone dealing with this issue anytime.

Cervical dysplasia
43 years old diagnosed with severe dysplasia. Had LEEP done 10 years ago. Hysterectomy is scheduled soon. I hate having to wait another month to get this behind me!

Condyloma accuminata (vulvar warts)
In 1981, I was diagnosed with having vaginal warts - condyloma accuminata. I was 20 years old when fhe doctor applied podophyllin to the affected areas. In 1993 I had laser surgery to remove the warts that had recurred in 1997. I had laser surgery. I now was informed I have to have a biopsy of the area because it doesn't look like warts any more. I am looking for others that have had a biopsy of the area and what it is like.

Contraception
I was diagnosed with HPV in 1993. I had a total abdominal hysterectomy at age 22 for abnormal uterine bleeding/dysfunctional uterine bleeding, chronic pelvic pain and a family history of reproductive and breast cancers. I have used multiple kinds of birth control pills as well as DepoProvera®. I am married, the mother of two, a former Women's Health Advisory Board Member for OBGYN.net (volunteer). Contraception
I am a 27 year old, practice nurse working in London city (UK). Have a strong family history of breast cancer and endometrial cancer, since the past 3 generations. Personally I am well at present, and may be of help to others through my nursing experience, and may be able to learn from those who have had experience with problems themselves

Depression

Endometriosis
I am a 25 yr old female that has just been diagnosed with endometriosis. I have had lower abdominal pain as long as I can remember. I am currently on Lupron plus I have a hypothyroid problem.

Endometriosis
Age 34,. I've had endometriosis since age 11, diagnosed at 22, numerous surgeries, drug treatments, homeopathy, massage and acupuncture. I don't have kids, and struggle with that on a regular basis. It's really tough dealing with the chronic pain, and how endo affects almost every aspect of daily life. I am here to lend an ear to anyone who needs to just get it all out.

Endometriosis
I am a 36 year old consultant who has had endometrioisis since 11 years old. Diagnosed at 34 years old after years of chronic pain, black outs, countless doctors. Had cysts and polyps removed. Am still suffering. Been through three unsuccessful cycles of IVF. Am now considering adoption. Not sure what to do about the endo; the pain has not subsided and the bills are mounting.

Endometriosis
I am a 23 Y. O female just diagnosed with endo through laparoscopy. Yet I have suffered for 10 years and was told my period pain, bowel pain and pelvic pain was "all in my head" or "just anxiety. i am willing to help in any way i can to treat the strange problem. I am 28 years old. I have suffered with Endometriosis for 14 years. I have had several laparoscopies, abdominal surgery to remove my tubes, and a complete hysterectomy. I have no children. I have had endo since I was 13. I had a lap when I was 15. I am fixing to have my second. I have 2 children, it was a rough road, with many complications. I have chronic pain. I am 25 years old and was diagnosed with endometriosis 6 years ago. I have since had a laparoscopy, colonoscopy, and 3 major surgeries. I have had also 3 treatments of 3 months of "DANAZOL" and 1 treatment of 3 months also of "LUPRON" which did not work for me.I have no children, but have tried desperately to get pregnant I have gone through 2 IN-VITRO FERTILIZATION but both have failed due to this disease and all the complications that came with it! "WE NEED TO FIND A CURE" TOGETHER WE CAN HELP FIGHT THIS BY LETTING PEOPLE KNOW WHAT IS 'ENDOMETRIOSIS".If I can help in anyway s or even if you just need to talk plus I will love to listen and lend you a shoulder to cry on when you need it. I am a 25 year old, mother of 2, who has had endometriosis since I was 16. I have gone through 8 laparoscopies, numerous medications, and have even tried alternative medicine for the pain. My doctor has now informed me that is is time to do a total hysterectomy.

I've been there and done it all. Just had my 6th surgery with a bowel resection, the old pain is gone but I am having a few complications from the resection. 38 y.o. mother of 1 (thru adoption), suffered from endometriosis since I was 16. Diagnosed at age 23. Hysterectomy at age 32. Currently asymptomatic!! Thanks to MD in Atlanta. I am also a registered nurse.

Endometriosis
33 y.o. had hysterectomy in 12/5/98. I was put on trisequense since my doctor said this is better for me than the other HRT. I also suffer from migraine so she said trisequense is the better alternative. However, only three months after my hysterectomy, I experienced pelvic and lower back pain, similar to the pre-menstrual pain. I read an article shared by a nice lady on the net that a hysterectomy will not definitely get rid of endometriosis. I wish I had a choice. I felt at that time I went for hyst. that I have no other alternative. and my husband & I also lost our chance of every having a biological baby because of my hyst. It's difficult to find a support group where I live (Philippines) and I am glad that we have the internet.

36 y.o. tennis professional, mother of 3. Have had endometriosis ever since i can remember. Had my 5th surgery last April to remove endo and they had to remove my appendix. Tried every drug to control it but now its time to have a hysterectomy.

HI! I have had endo as long as I can remember. When I first started having my period as child I was in alot of pain. My mom thought it was normal.. I was married for 4 years we decided to try for a baby, when I went off the pill I didn't know what was happening to me. The pain was alot worse sometimes I felt I couldn't get out of bed.. Anyway the first lap confirmed endo. I am 34 years, and have one child always trying for another.. Sometimes I get so tried and angry bacause this is something that really can not be controlled. The pain is always there.. I have had lap 5 times the last one just recently.. If we do not get pregnant this time, we will have a hyst. I am tired of hurting

Fibroids
I am 30 years old with a history of fibroid tumors. I had 5 large tumors removed by laparoscopy at age 27, and another removed by hysteroscopy at age 29. I currently have another small fibroid that is being watched carefully. I have had various experiences that I would be willing to share.

Fibromyalgia

Endometriosis	I am a 36 year old consultant who has had endometrioisis since 11 years old. Diagnosed at 34 years old after years of chronic pain, black outs, countless doctors. Had cysts and polyps removed. Am still suffering. Been through three unsuccessful cycles of IVF. Am now considering adoption. Not sure what to do about the endo; the pain has not subsided and the bills are mounting.
Endometriosis	I am a 23 Y. O female just diagnosed with endo through laparoscopy. Yet I have suffered for 10 years and was told my period pain, bowel pain and pelvic pain was "all in my head" or "just anxiety. i am willing to help in any way i can to treat the strange problem. The Dr. now wants me on Lupron(R). I'm very leary about this. Any info or suggestions? Email me!
Endometriosis	I am 28 years old. I have suffered with Endometriosis for 14 years. I have had several laparoscopies, abdominal surgery to remove my tubes, and a complete hysterectomy. I have no children. I am 2 years post op from my hysterectomy and am again struggling with chronic pelvic pain (unsure if it is adhesions and/or endo). Endometriosis	I have had endo since I was 13. I had a lap when I was 15. I am fixing to have my second. I have 2 children, it was a rough road, with many complications. I have chronic pain. I know endo is a rough disease that takes it toll not only on your body but also your mind. I have an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on. I am willing to share my experience with anyone. Endometriosis	I am 25 years old and was diagnosed with endometriosis 6 years ago. I have since had a laparoscopy, colonoscopy, and 3 major surgeries. I have had also 3 treatments of 3 months of "DANAZOL" and 1 treatment of 3 months also of "LUPRON" which did not work for me.I have no children, but have tried desperately to get pregnant I have gone through 2 IN-VITRO FERTILIZATION but both have failed due to this disease and all the complications that came with it! "WE NEED TO FIND A CURE" TOGETHER WE CAN HELP FIGHT THIS BY LETTING PEOPLE KNOW WHAT IS 'ENDOMETRIOSIS".If I can help in anyway s or even if you just need to talk plus I will love to listen and lend you a shoulder to cry on when you need it. Endometriosis	I am a 25 year old, mother of 2, who has had endometriosis since I was 16. I have gone through 8 laparoscopies, numerous medications, and have even tried alternative medicine for the pain. My doctor has now informed me that is is time to do a total hysterectomy.
Endometriosis	I am 35 yrs old and newly married. I have suffered with Endometriosis since I started my period at age 9. I wasn't diagnosed until I was 23, after many years of being told I was crazy. I've been there and done it all. Just had my 6th surgery with a bowel resection, the old pain is gone but I am having a few complications from the resection. I am blessed with a wonderful support system and would love to help in any way I can.

Endometriosis	38 y.o. mother of 1 (thru adoption), suffered from endometriosis since I was 16. Diagnosed at age 23. Hysterectomy at age 32. Currently asymptomatic!! Thanks to MD in Atlanta. I am also a registered nurse.
Endometriosis	33 y.o. had hysterectomy in 12/5/98. I was put on trisequense since my doctor said this is better for me than the other HRT. I also suffer from migraine so she said trisequense is the better alternative. However, only three months after my hysterectomy, I experienced pelvic and lower back pain, similar to the pre-menstrual pain. I read an article shared by a nice lady on the net that a hysterectomy will not definitely get rid of endometriosis. I wish I had a choice. I felt at that time I went for hyst. that I have no other alternative. and my husband & I also lost our chance of every having a biological baby because of my hyst. It's difficult to find a support group where I live (Philippines) and I am glad that we have the internet.
Endometriosis	36 y.o. tennis professional, mother of 3. Have had endometriosis ever since i can remember. Had my 5th surgery last April to remove endo and they had to remove my appendix. Tried every drug to control it but now its time to have a hysterectomy.
Endometriosis	HI! I have had endo as long as I can remember. When I first started having my period as child I was in alot of pain. My mom thought it was normal.. I was married for 4 years we decided to try for a baby, when I went off the pill I didn't know what was happening to me. The pain was alot worse sometimes I felt I couldn't get out of bed.. Anyway the first lap confirmed endo. I am 34 years, and have one child always trying for another.. Sometimes I get so tried and angry bacause this is something that really can not be controlled. The pain is always there.. I have had lap 5 times the last one just recently.. If we do not get pregnant this time, we will have a hyst. I am tired of hurting

Fibroids	I am 30 years old with a history of fibroid tumors. I had 5 large tumors removed by laparoscopy at age 27, and another removed by hysteroscopy at age 29. I currently have another small fibroid that is being watched carefully. I have had various experiences that I would be willing to share.
Fibroids	I am a 31 years old and have had 3 myomectomies for uterine fibroids. I also have had treatment with Lupron® for these and would like to correspond by e-mail others who have fibroids and have been on Lupron®.

Fibromyalgia	I am 43 with wonderful husband and 2 children, 20 and 17. I suffer from fibromyalgia and had a hyster. when I was 28 due to heavy bleeding and pain. The fibro is something I have found I need to talk to others about to keep spirits lifted. Write if you need a shoulder.

I have experienced all of the symptoms of this disease including extreme fatigue, irritable bowel syndrome, dry eye syndrome, extreme muscle pain, depression, headaches and sleep disturbances. I currently work on the staff of OBGYN.net and am more than willing to help anyone who has been diagnosed with this problem. Dealing with a chronic health problem can be very depressing at times and depression actually only adds to the problem. So, I try to always maintain my sense of humor.
