Have had a hysterectomy and still bleed every month

I had a hysterectomy about 4 years ago and I have been spotting every month. It has been getting more and more lately, but I thought once I had this hysterectomy, you aren't supposed to bleed each month. I was left with my left ovary only. Please advise what could be the issue as I cannot go to the doctor since I have no insurance.
