I had my second c section seven months ago and have experienced regular pain since then. At approx 8 weeks post op i had severe pelvic, lower back and scar site pain so went to my gp. He gave my antibiotics and suspected internal infection as the scar did not look to be visibly infected although there was some bulging. The antibiotics made no difference to the pain but did bring down the bulging. Since then i have regularly had pain that feels to be coming from my cervix and shooting down either side of my pelvis as well as lower back pain. I have had an IVP and an MRI which both came back normal, i also had an ultrasound that showed irregularities on the uterine scar and a large amount of fluid, i was prescribed three different types of anti biotic for 10 days. After completing the course i had the ultra sound repeated, it looked exactly the same!! i am still in pain, pleas help, what do you think it is? also i have not had a period yet but gave up breastfeeding 3 months ago- could this be related???
